A South Scottsdale staple. This steakhouse has been a valley favorite since 1981. The priceless sports memorabilia are a must see, and the Steak is cooked to perfection. Being that the building is relatively old by Scottsdale standards, and that there are so much priceless memorabilia, the owners have gone to great lengths to preserve their business from vermin, like moths, termites, and rodents.

32 Years in business and still going strong. In the competitive world of Scottsdale restaurants, this is a great achievement. One doesn’t stay in business that long if pest control is mismanaged. This is a beer and wine bar – It is the newest establishment on this list. Cozy in size, and friendly in staff. A great place to head to after work. The cleanliness is meticulous, and the uniqueness of the rotating taps is expertly picked. Being in the heart of old town there is the constant threat of rats. However, Scapegoat keeps its bar clean as a hospital.

Mexican inspired cuisine with a modern twist. A great place to get a feel for the south-western culture that is Scottsdale. Being along the canal makes for a great location for foot traffic, but has the downside of attracting mosquitos and other vermin that are attracted to the large volume of events that take place there. However, patrons can sit comfortably outside, and not worry about getting bitten due to the measures taken by Barrio Queen to prevent mosquitos and other critters attracted by the water.

New Mexican Cuisine in a Carlsbad Cavern inspired setting, without the bats. There is always a gamble when choosing to outfit your restaurant with outdoor seating, especially when there is a river running through the patio. The staff does a great job keeping the birds, and other common pests associated with outdoor seating away.

Homemade tortillas – gluten free and vegan options sure to please everyone. The restaurant is focused around the large outdoor seating patio. The open design of the restaurant looks like an open invite to roaches and other creepy crawlies. The restaurant remains clean and devoid of pests despite this.

There are a few valley locations, but the Scottsdale one is the one to note. It is hard not to have a list without one of the valley’s favorite pizza places. Fortunately, Oregano’s passes our inspection. Great for pizza, and sandwiches.

Opened in 1958, walking through the door is like taking a step back in time to a old ice cream shop. Be it to satisfy your sweet tooth, or to have some traditional American comfort food, the Sugar Bowl is the place to go. Like the other old buildings on this list, the threat of termites is there, but the building is clear and free.

Italian Eatery with amazing meatballs. Pest free Italian classics, as well as modern adaptations. Seriously, try the meatballs.
